History

The Vier Jahreszeiten was built not merely with the blessing of Maximilian II. but at his impetus. Maximilian II. Joseph had become king of Bavaria and straightaway set about energetically tackling projects which he had had on his mind. These included the "whole work of art" on the Maximilianstraße with the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten planned as the most elegant hotel in which persons of rank could reside according to their status.
